Consumer Device: It is great for consumers to have choice, but the market has been flooded by cheap, under powered device which are only appealing based on cost. Once you use them, they will be slow and only good for the occasional use.
Business Device: The devices we quote are of high build quality and the specifications will match your needs.
False Economy
Consumer Device: It is tempting to try and buy the cheapest device, but once you or your staff use it, the end user experience will slow. Remember, your staff will be using these devices 8 hours+ per day, any slow down costs you in lost productivity.
Business Device: Our devices are spec’d to last you for three to five years and are a cost effective long term investment.
Warranty
Consumer Device: Most consumer devices come with a 1 year return to based warranty, with all the work on you. You have to spend time on the phone with the manufactuer, often at least an hour, then package up and send the device off for a week or more, leaving you or your staff without a device. When it comes back, the device is often wiped and will require setting up again from scratch.
Business Device: Our quotes always include 3 year Next Business Day manufacturer warranty. Should your laptop develop a fault, you log a ticket with us, and we arrange for the manufacturer engineer to be onsite next day business day and fixed it for free. This saves you time and money of lost staff time.
Time & Availability
Consumer Device: Buying a consumer laptop will take time, you want to research the device, you then may visit a high street store to collect it. Once you have the device, it then may not have the right spec and require upgrading. If ordering online, laptops may show in stock, but then be out of stock or take several days/week to arrive.
Business Device: Spend your time on your business and let us quote the right specification device for you or your staff, we ask the right questions to match the device to the user. All our devices quoted are available in stock for next day delivery, if you ordered with us one afternoon, we could have your staff member working on it by the next afternoon.
Setup
Consumer Device: Once you have your device, you will need to complete the Out Of Box Experience (OOBE) taking up your precious time, it will also need updating. Most consumer laptops come loaded with “bloatware”, free versions of antivirus you don’t need, a software such as Booking.com App, Amazon App, etc that all need uninstalling.
Business Device: We quote a complete setup solution, we complete all initial setup including registering manufacturer warranty, installing all manufacturer and Windows updates, joining it to your business network, and even logging in the intended user and install relevant applications. When your staff member receives the device, they are ready to login and go.
Windows
Consumer Device: Most consumer laptops come with Windows home, meaning you can only log into the laptop with a Microsoft home account. If you then wanted to use this device for business, it would cost £100+ to upgrade to Professional.
Business Device: Our devices always come with Windows Professional, allowing you to log into the device with a Microsoft business account. It also includes BitLocker encryption, encrypting the laptop and data on it, protecting it should the device be lost or stolen (not included with home). Windows 11 Pro also comes with Remote Desktop and Group Policy Management.
